9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Have you ever wanted to go for a relaxing sunset paddle or embark on an exciting canoe camping trip but don’t know where to start? Develop your canoeing skills at our Learn-to-Canoe workshop this Wednesday, July 16th. Learn the fundamentals of paddling, steering, and style paddling and become an expert in no time!
Guided Geo-Paddles
Thursday, July 17th and Friday, July 18th
9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Explore the ancient geological features and landscape of Wolfe Island on this scenic guided paddle. Take in some beautiful sites and learn about the formation of the bedrock of the Frontenac Arch billions of years ago! This paddle will be approximately two hours long, and we will discover as many of the geo-paddle stops as possible. Participants can choose to explore the geo-paddle by canoe or kayak. Learn more about the paddle route and the geological history at the Geo Science Info website here.
If you are interested in joining one or more of these programs, send an email to info@wolfeislandboatclub.ca to secure your spot. If you want to learn to canoe but these days don’t work for you, send us an email as well and we will plan a canoe workshop around your schedule! Each event is free for WIBC members and $10/day for non-members. We hope to see you there!
